All Time Best NZ Male Achievements Internationally

Warren Parry and Peter Hunt between them have won more domestic tournaments over the years than any other NZ male players. I beleive they have been in more NZ representative teams than any other male players. So no surprise that on the international stage in my opinion they are the two players who have had the best result internationally for a NZ male. There have been alot of other great achievements but Warren Parry making the final of the World Cup singles in Durban in 1999 where he was defeated by Raymond Van Barneveld stands out. Along with Peter Hunt making the last 16 of the BDO world dart championships in 1995. Neither achievement has been equalled or surpassed. Next year Craig Caldwell and  Mark McGrath will play in the 2017 BDO world dart championships as NZ representatives. If they play as they can, they have a great chance to match or surpass what Peter achieved. Then if NZ send a team to the World Cup in Japan in 2017 that will create another opportunity for achievement. I as a supporter want them not to just participate but to win.

  1. Couldn’t have said it better myself, and I can assure you both players are going over there to win, not to make up the numbers
